Lightfair 2019 - Recap

First off, for those that aren't aware of what Lightfair is... Lightfair is the lighting and design industry’s source for all that is new and next. Where brilliant solutions in lighting, connectivity, design and integration will unfold in a synergy of light in life. In the unsurpassed resources of the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting event. It's an opportunity for those in the lighting industry to come together, make connections, develop new partnerships & cultivate lasting relationships.

Sure... there's opportunity to explore sales opportunities & for companies to promote new products & services. For some of the newer companies / start-ups / entrepreneurs, it also a time to take advantage of the world’s largest and most comprehensive annual lighting conference, featuring approximately 200 hours of accredited courses over 5 days; it's also a chance to learn from leaders in the industry.

This year we were fortunate enough to send 6 members of the team to help introduce SBT Alliance & meet with some of our initial partners to look at new products, talk about some new services in the works & have a few strategic discussions about how we can help each other with some projects quickly filling our pipeline. Our next stop was CURRENT (a General Electric company). With businesses beginning to transition to LED lighting, there are millions of commercial and industrial buildings in the United States which creates A LOT of opportunity for energy efficient technologies. More than just cost-savings, connected lighting has the potential to unleash additional productivity and revenue outcomes, and to prepare organizations for the future of smart building technology.
